History
Society of the Sisters of St.Ann,Luzern
The Society of the Sisters of St.Ann, Luzern was founded in Luzern, Switzerland in the year 1909 by Fr. Wilhelm Meyer under the patronage of St.Ann as a response to the crying need of the time, to take care of poor mothers and children.
The first four missionaries set foot in Indian soil in the year 1927, to witness to the merciful love of God through their services to the sick, poor and needy people. Later understanding the need for education ministry, schools were set up in different parts of India. St.Ann’s Matric Higher Secondary School,Panagudi was established in 1992.
A tiny seed, which was sworn by Fr. Meyer has grown into a mighty tree, spreading its branches across the Continents.
